Join APE for an evening of shorts featuring a one-act play from 24 Hour Play Fest winning writer Tim Gonyea and starring Play Fest winning actor JJ Buechner and actress Sonya Sidhu-Izzo, a 15 minute musical, 21 Chump Street by Lin-Manuel Miranda starring 2018 Jimmy Award winning actor Brandon Sarti, vaudevillian acts from Steve Nallie, a special dance performance from Reality Dance Studio’s Mahogany Akita and Nicole Woodcock and the launch of an ambitious new theatrical format – a film within a play based on a script written by Play Fest favorite, Nick McDowell.

Glens Falls Entertainment and Music Festival (GEM Fest) is a multi-venue festival that celebrates all forms of art!  Live musicians, painters and performers will take over downtown Glens Falls on Friday and Saturday, July 26 & 27, 2019.  Local restaurants and bars throughout Glens Falls will host musicians. The Park Theater will be home to theater, music, dance, vaudevillian acts, live comedy and a film festival.  Vendors and live painters will take to the streets.  An outdoor stage will close Glen Street for live music and Glens Falls City Park will host GEMbouree, a family friendly arts festival on Saturday afternoon.

Art in the Public Eye (APE) is a local nonprofit arts organization dedicated to bringing the arts to everyone and moving the arts scene forward.  We do this through year round free or affordable arts events, creating opportunities for artists and working with local venues and businesses to create, promote and present fun,affordable arts entertainment for our community.  You have probably heard of some of our programs including our popular Outdoor Cinema, 24 Hour Play Fest, GEM Fest, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Black Fly Storytelling, Chalk Fest, Contemporary Plays Series, APE-Man Presents and Hyde Tours.
