Songwriters’ Showcase
April 6 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$10 – $15
New for 2023 – Our ‘Live & Local: Songwriters’ Showcase’ is an intimate evening featuring some of the Capital Region’s favorite songwriters. Hosted by performer, producer and engineer, Josh Morris (Josh Morris Band, Girl Blue and more), these ‘artist-in-the-round’ performances will give audiences the opportunity to hear local musicians’ songs and the stories behind them.
This Month’s Artists Include:
Josh Morris, host
Josh occupies a musical space that defies genre and expectation. He was handed a pair of drumsticks at age 5 and since then, he has transformed into a titan of musical potential. At 25, he is now a multi-instrumental songwriter, producer, session musician, and touring musician. His music can uniquely be described as “Sounds For the Many”. There is something for everyone in his writing. Whether you’re looking for a vulnerable Singer/Songwriter with uncertainty about the future, a Hard Rock connoisseur, an Indie kid with DIY roots, or a Stevie Wonder enthusiast with an affinity for Funk and Soul, you can find it all here. Josh wears many hats but they all fit his head. So dive in, you may love what you find.
Reese Fulmer
If you ask Reese about himself, he’ll tell you he’s a brand new soul. “Born yesterday, dying tomorrow”, as he likes to say. But his songs tell a different story, with a clear eye, poetic touch, and unique imagination, of a conduit to something much older and deeper. Reese has quickly made a name for himself in the Capital Region music scene with his precocious songwriting and charming stage presence.
Gabby Hammond
Singer/songwriter from Troy, NY.
Ray Agnew
Ray is a singer/songwriter living and working in the Adirondacks. His music has been heard from the 1980 Olympic Winter Games, to television and radio commercials, to corporate soundtracks for Sky Chefs and the United Way. He is a graduate of the Crane School of Music, and a proud dad to two amazing kids. His music has been described as Dan Fogelberg meets the Moody Blues. Word on the street is that he likes that comparison.
