On the Third Thursday of each month, join Matt Niedbalski and a rotating cast of talented, regional jazz musicians. Experience some of the best jazz music in the Capital Region at our venue!

This month features:

David Zaks, piano

Born in Hoboken, NJ in 1992 and based in the NYC area his entire life, pianist David Zaks performs domestically and internationally with some of the finest jazz musicians in the world. He has performed with JD Allen, Winard Harper, Bill Easley, Mark Gross, Kenyatta Beasley, Duane Eubanks, Warren Vache, Gene Perla, Mark Johnson, John Mosca, Don Hahn, and Antoinette Montague, among many others, in venues such as Carnegie Hall, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Smoke Jazz Club, Mezzrow, Mintons Playhouse, Shanghai Jazz Restaurant, Fat Cat, and Bergen Performing Arts Center. He is currently based in Jersey City, NJ, and is working on a solo piano album that he plans to release in 2020.

Matt Niedbalski, drums

Matt Niedbalski is a drummer known for bringing musicality and energy to the bandstand. Born and raised in New York’s Capital District, Matt was exposed to music at a very early age. While in high school he took private drum lessons with drummer/author Ted Mackenzie and participated in the Empire State Youth Orchestra as well as the Skidmore Summer Jazz Institute. Before graduating high school Matt played with many local musicians, performing at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, the Final Stretch Music Festival and the Lake George Jazz Festival where he opened for Rudresh Manthappa and Bunky Green.
