I thoroughly enjoyed the singalong/open mic held at the Park Theater last Saturday. I also thought it was rife with possibilities for interpretation as a one-act work of musical theater. The show’s title (“Broadway Cabaret”) hinted at its subtext—the tension between Big Music (“Broadway”) and underground, subversive music-making (“cabaret”).
